Click here for daily readings Today’s Gospel starts with the words, “Jesus said to his disciples…” It doesn’t say, “Jesus said to those who were close to him physically.” It doesn’t say, “Jesus said to his followers at the time.” It says, “Jesus said to his disciples…” Of course, Jesus was talking to Peter, Andrew, James, John and the rest, but he was also talking to you and I. He was talking to every disciple throughout the ages. Jesus is truly God and truly man. As God, he exists outside of time. He knew what the disciples of that time…
