This Sunday has been designated Mercy Sunday. The effects of this celebration does not come from Sr Faustina or other exterior sources. The change to living mercifully comes from within , our hearts, wills, and minds. ~ Fr. Matt
I invite you to participate in the services that renew us in the life of Jesus and our faith in him. ~ Fr. Matt
Jesus says to Lazarus “Come forth!” Every time we participate in the Mass that same call is issued to you and me. Come forth from the grave of our sins and our self sufficiency. Jesus wants us to share in the glory of the resurrection. ~ Fr. Matt
Healing of the man born blind is a reminder that our disabilities whether physical or spiritual is an opportunity for God to manifest his power and love. ~ Fr. Matt
We look at the wanderings of the Biblical people. They were all on a purposeful journey, answering the invitation of God. Is our Lenten journey this year filled with purpose? Do we have something that we expect of ourselves? How do we touch other’s lives ? ~ Fr. Matt
Henry David Thoreau said the majority of people live lives of quiet desperation. It means an empty life caused by unfulfilling work, lack of leisure time, and misplaced values in money, possessions, and accolades. Lent is at time to turn us around and follow the genuine path of Jesus Christ. ~ Fr. Matt
The scriptures invite us to lay claim to live in love. We cannot control others but we can choose how to respond to them. In celebrating the Eucharist we say yes! ~ Fr. Matt
Today the words of the Beatitudes invite us to consider our dependence on God. He is the supreme authority. We need to find the source of our identity in him. ~ Fr. Matt
Jesus chooses to start his ministry in Galilee that had a history of being downtrodden, insignificance and gloomy outlook. We face this everyday. Let in the light and hopefulness that Jesus brings. ~ Fr. Matt
